Just a few days to go until the half term break. This half term seems to have flown by, and we escaped without too much snow!

As you know, there has been lots going on in school this half term and there are still events happening this week. Last Friday we said farewell to Miss Poverello in Y5 but welcomed Ms Saunders. This week our Key Stage 1 choir will be singing at the Big Sing on Thursday. This is taking place in Cheam and I am sure the children will have a great time. We also have our Valentine Disco on Friday which is being organised by the PTA.

You will also want to know that Miss Heslop had a baby girl just over a week ago. Mum and baby are doing very well – we hope they can visit very soon.

You will be aware that I recently sent out two letters; one reminding everyone about our school uniform expectations. Thank you for supporting the school with this matter and ensuring that your children come to school looking smart and wearing the appropriate uniform. The other letter gave you some helpful suggestions of the questions to ask your children when they come home from school. Hopefully the ideas have generated discussion and given you an insight into your child’s day at school.

I wish you all a safe and happy half term break when it arrives on Friday and look forward to seeing the children return on Monday 25th February.

Best wishes

Ms Bretherick
